Materials Analytical Services, LLC is an FDA registered testing facility.

Materials Analytical Services, LLC has received a Controlled Substance Registration Certificate from the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration as a Testing Laboratory (Research Pharmacy). This registration allows Materials Analytical Services, LLC to store and test controlled substances under the following schedules: 2, 2N. 3, 3N, 4 and 5.

American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) has accredited Materials Analytical Services, LLC of Suwanee, GA for technical competence in the field of Chemical Testing.  This laboratory is accredited accordance with the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. This accreditation demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system (refer to joint ISO-ILAC-IAF Communique dated April 2017).
In recognition of the successful completion of the A2LA evaluation process, accreditation is granted to this laboratory to perform the following tests on Toys, Office and School Furniture, and Building Materials (such as wallboard, fabric, carpeting, floor coverings, talc products, etc.):

  • Phthalates (Di-n-butyl phthalate, Benzyl butyl phthalate, Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate, Di-n-octyl phthalate, Diisononyl phthalate, Diiosodecyl phthalate) in Toys by GC-MS according to Test Method CPSC-CH-C1001-09
  • Sampling and Analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds and Aldehyde Emissions of Furniture using Sampling Chambers, GC-MS, and HPLC according to Test Method BIFMA M7.1 (see certificate for analyte list)
  • Sampling and Analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds and Aldehyde Emissions of Building Materials using Sampling Chambers, GC-MS, and HPLC according to California Dept. of Public Health (CDPH) Standard Method 01350 (see certificate for analyte list)
  • Asbestos in Cosmetic Talc Products by PLM according to Blount prep method using heavy liquid separation:  ISO 22261, ISO 22262
  • Asbestos in Cosmetic Talc Products by TEM according to ISO 22262-1, ISO 22262-2

AIHA Laboratory Accreditations Programs, LLC acknowledges that Materials Analytical Services, LLC of Suwanee, GA has fulfilled the requirements of the AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Programs (AIHA-LAP), LLC accreditation to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 international standard, General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories in the following Laboratory Accreditation Programs:  Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Lead.
