US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for Controlled Substances

MAS, LLC has received a Controlled Substance Registration Certificate from the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration as a Testing Laboratory (Research Pharmacy). This registration allows MAS, LLC to store and test controlled substances under the following schedules: 2, 2N. 3, 3N, 4 and 5.

American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA): Chemical Testing

American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) accreditation means that MAS, LLC is accredited for Chemical Testing in accordance with the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005, General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. This accreditation demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system. Accreditation is granted to MAS, LLC to perform the following tests on:

National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP): Bulk and Air Asbestos Fiber Analysis

NVLAP accreditation means that MAS, LLC is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program in accordance with the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The accreditation is for the specific service of Asbestos Fiber Analysis in bulk materials following method EPA 600/M4-82-020: Interim Method for the Determination of Asbestos in Bulk Insulation Samples and EPA 600/R-93/116: Method for the Determination of Asbestos in Bulk Building Materials. Additional accreditation is granted under NVLAP for Airborne Asbestos Analysis following U.S. EPA’s “Interim Transmission Electron Microscopy Analytical Methods – Mandatory and Non-Mandatory – and Mandatory Section to Determine Completion of Response Actions” as found in 40 CFR, Part 763, Subpart E, Appendix A.

American Industrial Hygiene Association Laboratory Accreditation Program (AIHA-LAP): Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Lead and Environmental Microbiology

AIHA-LAP accreditation means that MAS, LLC has fulfilled the requirements of the AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Programs (AIHA-LAP), LLC accreditation to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 international standard, General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories in the following areas: Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Lead and Environmental Microbiology. The Industrial Hygiene Laboratory Accreditation Program (IHLAP) covers analytical testing utilizing numerous NIOSH and OSHA testing methods by:

Gas Chromatography (GC/FID, Diffusive Samplers)

Ion Chromatography (IC), Liquid Chromatography (HPLC/UV)

Metals analysis by Inductively-Coupled Plasma (ICP/AES)

Asbestos by Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) and Gravimetric analysis.

American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) accreditation means that MAS, LLC is an Accredited Product Certification Body and is accredited in accordance with the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17065:2012, Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services. This accreditation demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system. Accreditation is granted to MAS, LLC to certify products to the following product certification scheme – MAS Certified Green:
