Exposure Characterization Laboratory (ECL)

MAS has the capability to study: work practice scenarios; local ventilation efficiency; particulate filter efficiency; and powered vacuum systems emissions of particulates, fumes and mists under "Tyndall Lighting". Studies and evaluations are videotaped for use in training, engineering and reference.

Mold

To complement our mold lab services, MAS offers mold consulting services such as:

• Visual Inspection
• Mold Detection
• Damage Evaluation
• Spore Count and Identification
• Source Identification
• Specimen Collection (Air-O-Cell, tape, swab, etc.)
• Remediation Plans
• Guidance for Future Monitoring
• Mold Prevention and Training

Our clients include homebuilders, homeowners, realtors, schools and commercial building owners. Our mold group is overseen by a senior scientist with a Ph.D. in Microbiology; coupled with our Certified Industrial Hygienists and our comprehensive analytical capabilities, we are able to conduct comprehensive indoor air and workplace investigations. Our rigorous QA/QC programs ensure that clients receive the most accurate and legally defensible results possible.

Training

Our IH consulting services include comprehensive training for both OSHA compliance and operating cost efficiencies. Our CIHs will assess the situation and create customized proactive programs that will result in sustainable, improved safety. Then, we will train employees, contractors, facility owners, etc. on the program implementation.

MAS can train for confined space, respiratory protection, substance-specific exposures (lead, asbestos, benzene, etc.), and laboratory chemical hygiene.

Site Safety Audits

Our CIHs are highly experienced in conducting site safety audits of facilities, construction sites, hazardous waste remediation sites, etc. for OSHA compliance. Site safety audits typically include the following:

• Hazard assessment and risk analysis
• Exposure monitoring
• Personal protective equipment assessment
• Hazard communication assessment
• Site control analysis
• Analysis of standard safety procedures
• Emergency response plan assessment
• Recordkeeping evaluation

MAS also conducts accident investigations and can develop tailor-made accident prevention programs for any site.
